Mermaids
 

I fell in love with this fabric by Northcott and bought to make a quilt for my grand niece for her birthday.....last June. Then it was going to be for Christmas. I was just [ATTACH=CONFIG]613588[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]613589[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]613590[/ATTACH] oo afraid to cut into it. In the end I played around on EQ8 a bit (I am a beginner but can do the basics) and decided on this very simple design. Delivering it this weekend for her 4th birthday....better late than never? Was going to use the panel as part of the backing but decided to make a large pillow instead. The quilt and pillow are for the playroom as mom is very fussy about decor.....no kiddy prints allowed in the bedroom!

It's sweet. She'll love it. I'm with you---I have 4 and 6 year old grandsons who still haven't received "baby" quilts from me. The grands come too fast. Just goes to show you, you can create a person faster than you can create a quilt. :D
