I threw this together last week for my little sister Hannah. She's turning 12 on November 1st. Originally I made a small, super bright, kiddish looking purse, but I decided it was too childish for her. She likes warm, natural colors, so I went with this. It's kind of big, but hopefully she'll grow into it. :)

(The little blue around the letters is washable marker, I gotta get a rag and clean it up still)

How thoughtful of you to do this for your sister!

I love it!! And she will too :)
I remember the other one you made. It was very cute but this one does seem better for a 12 yr. old.
Thanks for sharing!! Messenger bags are so handy!!

Beautiful!

Are you going to give her both of them? You know, a lady can't have too many purses!

Awesome job! I am so impressed with her name!! Is it on the strap? She is going to love it. I, for one, think that a girl can't have enough bags!!

She'll love it. I made a messenger bag for my DGD who is 12 also. I guess that is the hot thing in middle schools right now.

Yep, her name is on the strap.

To whoever asked why it is called a Messenger Bag - I'm not entirely sure, I assume it's due to the large size and the way it slings over your shoulder, kind of like any form of messenger might carry...well...messages? LOL

You know, I had considered sticking the bright purse inside this one and giving both to her - I think I'll do that!! :)
