You said you'd definitely press the seams open --- ???
Could you expound on that a bit?
Just on the Storm at Sea? (newbie here, obviously).
Thanks

Thanks

for the Storm at Sea:
With all the points there are some pretty thick spots in it. The book only gave pressing directions for a few parts. If I had pressed the seams open there would be a lot less bulk at the points and probably would have been a lot easier to match up. Hope this helps if you have anymore questions, feel free to ask and I will do what I can. :)

You did a beautiful job on both! I love how you solved the backing issue on MIL's quilt :D:D:D

I am not a wildlife person, but if you were my daughter in law, and you made me THAT quilt, I would be OVERWHELMED with awe and gratitude.
For just grabbing fabric here and there, and all the little set backs you had, you absolutely provided a wonderful quilt for your MIL and if you hadn't told me the story, I would have thought you had it planned all along.
It sounds to me like you and hubby are a pair to draw to.
Congratulations! <wave>

That's a very nice thing to say! I never make a quilt (or anything) without my "design team.". Lol my daughter and my hubby both are always a part one way or another.
