You said you'd definitely press the seams open --- ???
Could you expound on that a bit? Just on the Storm at Sea? (newbie here, obviously). Thanks |

Could you expound on that a bit? Just on the Storm at Sea? (newbie here, obviously). Thanks With all the points there are some pretty thick spots in it. The book only gave pressing directions for a few parts. If I had pressed the seams open there would be a lot less bulk at the points and probably would have been a lot easier to match up. Hope this helps if you have anymore questions, feel free to ask and I will do what I can. :) |
you are amazing!!! The storm at sea is so different than any I have done -- The overall effect is stunning !!!

You did a beautiful job on both! I love how you solved the backing issue on MIL's quilt :D:D:D

I am not a wildlife person, but if you were my daughter in law, and you made me THAT quilt, I would be OVERWHELMED with awe and gratitude.
For just grabbing fabric here and there, and all the little set backs you had, you absolutely provided a wonderful quilt for your MIL and if you hadn't told me the story, I would have thought you had it planned all along. It sounds to me like you and hubby are a pair to draw to. Congratulations! <wave> |
Very pretty, both of them.
