Some of you know my MIL passed away 2 weeks ago. We have been back for the funeral and to help go through her 3 story house. One of the last things she told DSIL was that I was to get her mother's tredle machine. Granny as we knew her was a beautiful quilter. She made all her quilts on this machine and then hand quilted them. I already have her quilt rails. My DSIL will get her mother's Featherweight. Well let me show you my machine. Our local Machine repair man is in AWWWW! So here is my Singer and her Beautiful table. I have named her Clara Marie after Granny and the middle name is also my DD's. I do not know what model this is but she works perfect.
Thank you all for looking. I am so happy with my gift. I hope to be able to make a quilt on her too. Quilt laying there is Granny's. Close up of the machine. What a treasure! :) Looks like a pretty Singer 9W to me! ;)
An older one, btw, the cabinet is more common to the Wheeler & Wilson machines... |
