Mini block

1 Attachment(s)
Just playing with my new Mini Mosaic Block book by Paula Doyle. Not perfect but ok for a first attempt. Fun to play....although, I can't imagine doing an entire quilt in mini's. The book has a quilt pattern so I may attempt it. I think a scrappy mini would be very cool so I may start cutting and collecting scraps...block size= 5 1/2 unfinished.

your piecing is so perfect!

You did wonderful work on that tiny block.

its hard to get perfect points on minis but you've done a great job.

quilterpurpledog 01-25-2018 03:42 AM

Beautiful block and so nicely done. I think it would be fun to do a quilt with this kind of blocks. however, it might be best to make a schedule and do a couple a week (or other time interval) but keep things for the project in a box or basket so you can just bring it out and start working. Lots of reasons for embarking on a quilt journey like this. Keep going and keep showing us the blocks.

Very pretty block Teen, great job, I love small blocks.

jmoore 01-25-2018 04:11 AM

I love that block...only I’d want to make it bigger. LOL

That's an amazing job with such small pieces! Great block.

Rondie 01-25-2018 05:00 AM

I love this! Cute mini......

FabQuilter 01-25-2018 05:06 AM

Sew pretty! Inspiring work. I admire mini blocks and yours turned out great.

feline fanatic 01-25-2018 05:07 AM

What a great block! I love how the piecing makes the "T's" look interwoven in the center. That center hourglass must have been quite the challenge.

I like smaller blocks and love the way they look in a sampler like the FWS or Dear Jane.

grammasharon 01-25-2018 05:07 AM

You did a remarkable job with piecing this block. It is beautiful!

Homespun 01-25-2018 06:08 AM

Pretty....good job!

Ariannaquilts 01-25-2018 06:44 AM

Wow that's incredible! I don't even like making a block that has 25 normal size pieces much less a miniature block. You keep making them and posting them I will enjoy them. Phenomenal work!

sewbizgirl 01-25-2018 06:58 AM

Oh, that's gorgeous! Yummy eye candy... It would take a lot of patience, but what a "WOW" quilt it would be with hundreds of those. Or maybe just a wall hanging?

oksewglad 01-25-2018 07:40 AM

Ah Teen, you are embarking on a wonderful journey of thinking small....you will love it, I can tell already!

fred singer 01-25-2018 07:41 AM

QuiltingNinaSue 01-25-2018 08:33 AM

Thanks for putting the dime in the photo so we can see how small it is; what a great job on the mini. You are doing a wonderful job with this one. Thanks for sharing.

sJens 01-25-2018 12:05 PM

Nicely done---really like making mini's.

carolynjo 01-25-2018 07:35 PM

Many years ago, a quilter named Tina Gravatt specialized in minis like this.

quiltingshorttimer 01-25-2018 07:46 PM

OMG! that is amazing! such perfection--wish I could be that precise with a 12" block! LOL--I really like that block design.

JanieH 01-26-2018 11:57 AM
