1 Attachment(s)
Made this mini bow tuck and was wondering if anybody sells them and what they price the mini at.
I did embrodiery on this one. I'v had several people ask me to make one for them and don't know how much to ask for one. Thanks.

ScrapQuilter 05-21-2012 01:15 PM

I wouldn't know how to price them in your area. So, I won't even try. But, you did a fantastic job on it. It ought to sell fast!

Jammin' Jane 05-21-2012 01:30 PM

Customized with your embroidery....$40!!! :)

MinnieKat 05-21-2012 01:31 PM

I ask $40 for the larger and $30 for the small ones.

thimblebug6000 05-21-2012 01:39 PM

I've seen them for alot of different prices, here's some regular ones at $35 http://www.whispersoftquilts.com/cat.../catId=3892813 If someone special orders one, I think I would agree on a price first as it would take longer to do with the embroidery, right?

Codi 05-21-2012 02:14 PM

Love it, you did a very good job on it..

Tweety2911 05-21-2012 02:18 PM

No help at pricing, just wanted to comment on how pretty it is!

leatheflea 05-21-2012 02:19 PM

Very professional! Great purse!

RedGarnet222 05-21-2012 02:22 PM

I would say $48 with the special embroidery. There is a lot of unseen products in the bow tuck and lots of work.

Grandma Bonnie 05-21-2012 03:02 PM

That purse is beautiful!! What kind of embroidery machine do you have that you can do that emb. with?

lollygagging 05-21-2012 03:44 PM

I don't know what the pricing scale is but if you're including embroidery, you should add at lest $5 for the extra effort. Beautiful bag. Thanks for sharing.

Froggiey 05-21-2012 07:09 PM

Grandma Bonnie, thanks and I have a Burnina 440. I took the plunge last year and love it. I must tell you that I have had lots of trouble with the embroidery. Nothing except myself not knowing how to use it. There are no instructions and when I asked for help I could not get the answers. I am just now learning how to use it properly after a year of frustrations. Burnina just needs to print an instruction book for dummies like me.

Wow that is impressive.......I think $35 is a fair price for the small one. Hope this helps :)

piepatch 05-21-2012 07:24 PM

I think with that pretty embroidery, I would ask at least $40.00.

OmaForFour 05-22-2012 02:50 AM

I bought a larger one without embroidery at a quilt guild show for $45 last year.

heather1949 05-22-2012 02:53 AM

WOW is all I can say.

katesnanna 05-22-2012 04:15 AM

That is a beautiful bag. I have only made 1 mini bow tucks but sold it as well as a lot of the large size. I was selling them for $45.00 plus postage. The person who bought my mini was happy to pay the same price as everyone else because she wanted it for her daughter.
I have checked the conversion chart and USD & Aud are almost on par at the moment. But I think with your beautiful embroidery your bag is worth more. Good luck.

nabobw 05-22-2012 05:03 AM

Love the embriodery you did on it

Daisydoodle 05-22-2012 05:06 AM

Very nice, the embroidery makes me smile. Maybe $35 - $45, my gosh it is hand made and perky!!

Patti 05-22-2012 07:21 AM

I sell mine for $80.00......I can't make them fast enough!!!

Froggiey 05-23-2012 06:54 PM

Thanks to everyone. I made another plain bag last night and took them to work today. Sold this one within 30 min. and the other one as well for $40 each.

mudsprite 05-23-2012 09:52 PM

I have seen them as low as $20.00 to $35.00. The quality of the material and time are factored but time is usually not recovered in selling cost unless your fast and fabric and color choices are terrific. I have found the love of doing makes everything worth doing.

mighty 05-28-2012 06:25 AM

Beautiful!!!

bobbieking 05-28-2012 06:47 AM

The embro alone is worth 30 bucks!! If they really want it, they would pay the price for a one-of-a-kind. Good luck.

ann31039 05-28-2012 05:14 PM

mini bow tuck? how does it compare size wise to the regular one? is it a coupla inches smaller or more like half? i was thinking a smaller one would be good sometimes but didn't know they had the smaller pattern. may have to look for that.

kim_s 05-28-2012 08:38 PM

Really nice. I like how you put the button for the loop closure at the top of the bag. May try that in the future!

GwenH 05-28-2012 09:47 PM

That is so cute!! Good luck with deciding on a price, sorry I can't help you out.

northern lass 05-28-2012 11:57 PM

The mini is just two (2) inches shorter and lower than the regular. I bought both patterns, and usually make mine in the in-between size.
