Absolutely love the quilt. Thanks for posting the closeups. Did you dye your cheesecloth brown. The background material is perfect....so many things I could say. I’m a big fan art quilts.

What a stunning and detailed art quilt. Bet it was a lot of fun to come up with the ideas, execute them and realize they were perfect. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much. I did not dye the cheesecloth. Hobby Lobby sells them in rolls with different colors.

It is beautiful. I'm wondering if you had templates or drew you own applique patterns. I can't draw a square box.

Thank you. The seahorse was cut using a metal die, seagrass was free hand cut and the fish, starfish and crab were drawn using a stencil.

Wow! The ice dyed background really sets the scene beautifully! I love your attention to detail.

I have to ask.... what material did you stitch over the orange coral plant in the lower left? My guess is some type of poly batting?

oksewglad 10-08-2020 05:51 AM

Cute, cute...Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much. I used Angelina "Hot fix" heat bondable fibers. It is a very fun little product and you don't need to use much to have a beautiful shimmering effect.
