Let me see if I can answer everyone, The minis are fun to do, I tend to like blocks with a lot of little pieces anyway so this is just something that I do without thinking. The little pieces are not that hard to work with if you do it the right way, I strip pieced it so it is working with long strips and not itty bitty squares. Pressing is a key in this they are all ppressed open, I can't imaginnd the buld that pressiio one sside wouud create, I will take a picture of the back to show you what it looks like, yet again I have more fabric on the back than the front.

Working with this size is not harder than the big pieces, just different. I don't pin, pretty much never do, I can't imagine pinning on every seam, I just did bit by bit and the seams are not long so they don't take that long to do. Time wise it takes less as the seams are shorter.

I am going to sign up for the doll quilt, jsut haven't gone there yet to sign my name.

I do live in the middle of a farmer field in Canada. it is great living out on the middle of no where, I live just outside of Edmonton AB

So thank you everyone for your kind words, It was just something that I was playing with. I have some two inch strips that I am cutting and will be playing with, I am going to be working on a couple of tuts here for people that are wondering abbout soome of the stuff that I have done and will be doing. Some are ggn to be mini style as that way I don't go through so much fabric and the time is cut down. There is a long list so I hope to do one or two a week in between everything else that I am doing and playing with. I am also trying to prepare a mystery quilt for those that are interested in that kind of thing. And coming soon, I will be doing a bingo game as well with the help of a friend. so either PM me if you want to join in or go to my pda page and sign up there.

Please esplain Bingo!! And time frame for Mystery??

cutebuns 08-01-2009 10:03 AM

No time frame for the mystery yet, I have the border and an idea for the center, have to whip one or two up to see if it will all work out, especially since I need to keep the production time down so it can be done in a day or two,

Bingo, I have a partner in crime so to speak making up cards now, everyone that wants will have a card, and every day I will toss out another number, I was thinking the pink thing for the first round could hold the numbers. Make it easy for the the first round anyway. And I plan on having some small prizes, something I have embroidered or something like that, just something to have fun with everyone and in a time frame that everyone can play.

Love your quilt inspector, CB - it was hard to see if she/he was inspecting the back or the front. LOL. Your little squares look a lot like mine, except that I have done mine the English paper pieceing way, by hand, as it was a project to do on a train going back and forth to Dublin (three hours each way) Yours will have gone together a lot quicker.

Woo hoo, Cutie! Go, Cutie, Go!
Where do you get the energy, girlfriend. Is it from all those bananas, my pink friend? hmmm, they do have lots of potassium.
Even with the strip piecing, these are little parts, and the back is as interesting as the front. whoody hoo!
Love that close inspection there...but keeping a safe distance from your meow!

That is so neat and detailed, I like the way you alternated the coloring in it.

It must be the banana, I think I have gone over the edge into banana land, I am considering cutting some strips 1". that is a scary thought. We will see what happens with the 2" strips as well.

It was origionally supposed to be light and dark but then managed to get some med in on the light side. I tend to get sidetracked very easily.
