The center is heavy with seams and the borders may be sewn along the bias on some of the triangles edges. The triangle edges may have stretched a bit so there is a little extra fullness in the borders? It looks great and adding quite a big of quilting in the borders should fix that. I would SITD on the center portion. In the borders, I might do ribbon candy to take up the fullness.

That's a great little quilt. The fabrics/colors are beautiful. Good job.

Beautifully done!! Love your mini!

When working on smaller quilts, even placemats, I have used an oversized back, put an oversized batting on top then the centre/pieced area. Then I stitch my border(s) on through all the layers, using the sew and flip method. I find this gives a very flat finish that does not need to have stitch in the ditch. You can then either bind as usual or bring the back forward and bind that way.

starching fabric before cutting when working with bias is a must...nice job!!

Awesome job on this!

Wow! I can not even imagine trying to do something that requires such accuracy... You did a great job!

Yadroc, thank you. I think this method will work great for my mini's... I love them and I think this will help with borders.... thank you for the suggestions.
