Tammy's quilt combines Minkee fabric pieced into the top with a solid Minkee backing. It's a great guy quilt! The batting is Quilter's Dream Midnight Black, even though I didn't think light batting would show through the needle holes, this guarantees that. We decided to quilt it with a design that mimics the animal print. Having the plush fabric in the quilt top and backing was interesting. As I stitched through it, I could not see where I had stitched! Some intersections were too thick and it created some drag but thankfully, it all turned out great! What are your experiences with Minkee fabric, love it? Thanks for looking!

|

very nice, I cannot imagine how soft and cuddly this quilt is :)

The quilting is wonderful and great idea for a comfy snuggly quilt.
I've only used Minkee twice on kids quilts and as much as I love the feel, it was kinda hard to work with. Lots of lint, made me sneeze alot. |
This looks really really nice. I love it. I have only used minkee for the backing and turned the baby quilt and top stitched. It was really a small baby quilt but no quilting. I think i should try yours and hopefully have the nerve to use my long arm for it
