mismatched obw?

Has anyone done this?
I could only get 4 strips and 2 the same at the end so i used them together.I think it looks ok, as my fabric is making similar color blocks.Will give more blocks. Don`t send the qpolice!!!! lol |

I think the way you put it together is amazing. It looks good to me. No it is not a kaleidoscope like you had in mind. But no one else will know this pretty block is not as you first envisioned it. Keep going

Your block is your "artistic license" at work! Never mind the "rules" and keep up the great job!

It is a very creative way to make it work. No problem with doing this at all. When it is in the whole quilt, it will enhance the pattern.

It looks fine. I think you will be the only one who will know it is different, but when it's in the quilt, I'll bet you won't even be able to find it!

I have made a couple of OBW quilts. In one of them I did use mis-matched hexagons to keep the pattern flowing. The wonderful thing about OBWs is that one can be creative and mismatches will not be noticed.
