This quilt is going to my church for a silent auction. Our youth ministry is sending a group of high school kids to Zambia Africa for a mission trip, where they will spend time with kids their age at a youth conference!
Hopefully this will help raise funds for their expenses. (over $3000 each!!)

What a beautiful quilt and a wonderful project. I need to suggest this to our youth ministry. They have adopted a mission in the Bahamas and they go there twice a year.

If the guests at the fundraiser are not quilters, you might want to set a minimum bid. I made a wall hanging for my church's preschool fundraiser, with a minimum bid of 10% its value ($20), and no-one bid even that much! I have also seen people go around and write $1 on every page at a silent auction, just in case no-one else bids!

Oooooh! It's so beautiful! There is no question it will raise a decent sum of money to help with the trip. Good luck and let us know how much it raised. :)
