I have always love the cathedrial window quilt, but could get the grasp of doing it. Last week I found an embroidery design of it.
Here is a pic of the first block. I am going to make a lap size quilt and alternat the emb blocks with print fabric One row will be yellow emb block with the pink fabric and the next row pink emb block with yellow fab I'm going to add a border with smaller cathedrail blocks yellow emb block [ATTACH=CONFIG]110388[/ATTACH] fabric for solid blocks [ATTACH=CONFIG]110389[/ATTACH] |

Itis real easy to do. Just looks hard. the hardest part is trimming round the window I have a sharp pair of thin cruved sissors just pull up a bit on the edge of the fabric so you can get close when you trim

Love the purple block. The cathedral window is one of my favorite blocks but i have never had the courage to try it. Maybe someday.
