Dexx sent me this quilt to long arm for his wife..it is for an anniversary gift.
Very hip, modern colors..love the fabric choices. I wanted that sashing to pop out..so I didn't quilt it..but I quilted the corner stones... I auditioned a couple different types of flowers in the center of each of the blocks...but decided on this one because of the rounded edges..kind of softened the look a bit...I wanted to mimic the one in the fabics but it didn't look right to me. In order to make the sashing and flowers pop out..I wanted quilt a tight design in the side setting triangles and the outer border..so I did swirlies and "Charismah Curls" I am pleased with the end result..both of his quilts will be flying back home today. Of course I quilted this all on my INNOVA..all freehand..no pantographs or computer..Thanks for looking! The pics are kind of blurry?? Weird |
