What lovely quilts! Those aren't real vintage hankies are they? ....

gollytwo 09-01-2012 12:22 PM

It looks like she made two of them for you.
She did a nice job.

Oh' how pretty and a pillow case to match.

Raggiemom 09-01-2012 12:57 PM

What a stunning quilt! And a very creative idea.

No! They are the Moda hankies. They come in their own cloth bag. I believe there were 12 in the bag. Do not remember what we paid for the hankies. You can still get the Moda hankies if you Google "Moda hankies" I believe you will be able to buy them. Not sure if they are still all the same prints. If I remember correctly, all the Moda hankies are square (no scallops) easier to sew on to background fabric. Yolanda Wood River

There are two of them. We each made one and then later she made me a 3rd one for the double bed in the attic. I have a photo of it somewhere. It is beautiful too. She is an avid quilter and does an excellent job. She has made several quilts for nieces, her mom, her children. Yolanda Wood River

WOW, she did a wonderful job. Bedroom looks like it is fresh out of a magazine. Very perfect for a cottage.

I agree on all counts! What a wonderful room to spend a summer's night in. Is that pattern still available from Moda or does it come with the hankies? I love this quilt! I love the "shabby chic" looks & think this quilt could be made to look like that... fabulous!
