Model "A" Tumbler Quilt

One of our Model "A" car club members wife sadly was stricken with Alzheimers a couple of years ago. She passed last week. At the wake I was taken back by the quilt I made which was displayed on the kneeling bench at the funeral home. This is their 1929 Ford Model A Woody that I asked him to take photos of with the quilt. He did such a great job with the photos. He said she always sat holding the quilt. It warms my heart knowing she loved both the quilt and her car. RIP Barbara.

Great job on the quilt, and a lovely old car. Sorry to hear of your friend's passing, but it's so nice to know that she enjoyed the quilt. I am currently working on a Tumbler for my sister for Christmas.

It's always a good feeling when you know that the recipient of your work treasured it. What a wonderful tribute to you, to know that it provided comfort to her over the years. I'm sure it will do the same for her husband while he struggles with his loss. So sorry for the loss of your friend.

Love the picture. Your quilt is beautiful, too. What an honor for you that they thought so much of it.

Pretty quilt. Isn't it nice to know that your gift gave such comfort. Having worked with Alzheimer patients I can truly appreciate the comfort she received from your quilt. It was most likely the only tangible thing she could cling to. God bless you for the comfort you provided.

You obviously made a good quilt for your friend. Sorry for your loss.

Love your story and am sorry for the loss of a special friend. We all need to remember that cars haven;t always had heaters-you had to bring your own. So your quilt was so perfect for the car. What a beautiful car. After quilts I love antique cars.

I hope fond memories of your friend will remain in your heart just as she seemed comforted by your quilt... Often times we are unaware of the impact we have on someone's life.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
