Is it just me or are modern quilts like this (which is lovely and well-done) baby quilts because they are made for babies...not for any other reason? If I saw this quilt without narration I would say it's a very nice rendition of a modern quilt pattern made as a lap throw. Never would I view it as a baby quilt. So who is the quilt for? The baby or the baby's mother? Just saying...

It's a very pretty quilt. Making a purple and grey quilt is easier than the request I had for baby quilts for a set of twins, a boy and a girl with the nursery decorated with whales. I finally, after much searching found some cute whale fabric at JoAnn's, and need to get busy because the twins are expected in March and they usually come early.

Really pretty and since it doesn't scream "baby" it can be used and loved for a long time.
