For my Pop, he passed before I could get it done but he always taught me that "all is not black and white," and life is a circle (my last year gift,to him was to memorize "The 7 Stages of Man and recite, I did cheat and read part of it, that was tough!). Anyway,,sure do miss him, he was so proud of my quilting, and our whole family(the quilt it not as lumpy as it looks in the pic)

What a beautiful quilt and memory. Cherish both of them!

You will cherish that quilt for the remaining of your life. I wasn't a quilter when my Dad died, but he kept a crochet scarf that I had made him. I kept missing stitches so I thought I would just add them on at the end of a row. He kept it for all his life and I was so surprised to have found it along with his belongings. Cherish the times you were with him and that way, he will always be with you.

Cute story, dad's are so wonderful and inspiring! I just, this morning, got back the first pair (and the only) pair of of socks that I made, for him(not a good knitter, this was the only pair I ever did, lots of air spaces (I think he put them on Sunday mornings only and likely wished I would leave so he could get the itchy things off but they are so dear to me!, as the quilt will be!

Awesome sharp looking quilt and what a lovely sentiment behind it.
