Modernish

Last September I stitched this quilt top at a retreat...at that time I found the pattern on devotedquilter.com but I can't remember the name of the pattern, and now when I am going back to the site I don't see this particular design. Anyway, I quilted it on my domestic machine in the ditch (or oops a tad away) I also pieced the backing with stash fabrics......that brighter binding???? I bought a dress in Mexico over 20 years ago.....it has been reincarnated into another useful purpose.
Good grief...I can't seem to resize the backing photo under 2.11 even when I click on the thumbnail...oh well...no biggie....enjoy the front! |
Cute quilt!

fun! I like it.
|
even the 'simple' patterns can be beautiful!
|
I like that. Very fresh looking it's always great to re propose something.

I really like this quilt. This is something guys would really like. It has a masculine flair. Gals would love it too, but I know people are often looking for patterns to make for guys, this one is perfect. I love your binding color, perfect finish.

Modern but timeless!

It's very pretty. The soft muted colors against the gray are a nice combination. Nicely done

Great pattern to mix many fabrics. Have to keep this one in mind. Thank you.

Nice quilt. Thanks for sharing.
|
Really nice, simple pattern that makes a very pretty quilt!
|
Love the story behind your bright binding...very smart to recycle your dress fabric. :)

Cute quilt- I can so relate to your description of stitching in the ditch https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/smile.png

I found my printed pattern today, and see the actual name is Indecisive.... but will still name mine Modernish......

I have a book by Lynette Jensen with a pattern like that. She called it basket weave. More strips than a fence rail.
