Thats a great idea it really jazzes it up, how smart of you

Will make a veteran very happy.

I find them rather ho-hum but I do like the many alternatives that have been created to make the 1600 more interesting. You just added one more!
Creativity is a wonderful thing. |
Great save! Very nice QOV!

I really like what you did.I am also not a huge fan of the 1600 quilts. I have one that has been in the UFO pile for 5 or 6 years. I was given a jelly roll that I though was ugly. Decided to make it into a 1600 quilt and donate it to something. Fabrics I don't like others like. It is so ugly I can't bring myself to put borders on it and quilt it I hate it so much. I was looking for a way to chop it up and re-sew it. I will have to try this. I was planning on sticking this ugly quilt on the longarm i was given as my first project. Perfect way to hopefully fix this quilt.

Great job on a creative solution!

Cleaver idea!! I could even see cutting in 4th, or 3 vertical sections and adding sashing. Thanks for the inspiration.:o
