Modified Dancing 9 Patch
1 Attachment(s)
I found the Dancing 9 Patch pattern on Bonnie Hunter's site. Changes I made were fairly simple; Switched to a plain border, Made the middle square in each 9 patch block slightly larger than the surrounding. I also decreased the size to a lap quilt.
I need to give some acknowledgement to my wonderful fiance, who helped me pick the colors and assisted with some ironing. The binding will be the light purple. This will be quilted with stitch in the ditch on my DSM. I might play around with some free motion in the green stripes, but that is TBD. |

That is cool, unusual and very sharp.

Very pretty and great job !

I also made a variation of Dancing 9 Patch from Bonnie Hunter. Her 9 patches used 2" squares and I did 4 Patches using 2-1/2" squares but put it together like she did. Gave it to my dear friend who is 92 that had never been given a quilt before. All the quilts she made she gave away and was sleeping under a raggedy one given to her husband years & years ago.

Love it! So much more interesting than just a plain 9 patch.

I think he did great also! He is colorblind and has a hard time seeing the difference in shades of colors, especially the red family. |
nicely done
