Mombo Bag
1 Attachment(s)
I made this bag but not sure what I will use it for as yet. I was the pattern and I just knew I wanted to make it.

I just love the bag. Where did you get the pattern. I so understand that compulsion to make something without having a single thought for its use. (Did I mention I made three different bags last week because I just needed to.)

Great bag!

Slight typo, it's a Mondo bag. They are addictive to make. I love to take leftover fabrics from a project and make a matching bag. Especially from a baby quilt. New mama's are constantly carrying stuff and a matching bag doubles a perfect gift. Good job. Love the colors you chose.

It looks very similar to the schlep bag but using smaller squares

Love this bag. Great colors and shape!

What a beautiful bag!
|
It's beautiful. I love your colors. The way you have it hanging, it almost looks like a camisole top, lol.
|
What a wonderful bag! Very unique!
|
A friend made lots of these last year as Christmas gifts. Yours is especially attractive.
|
Very cute! I love the fabrics you used.

There is a website that sells the Mondo Bag. Google Mondo Bag and you'll find it. I made 4 of these. First one was to get familiar with the pattern and went to my sister for Christmas last year. My grandson got married this Spring and I made the newlyweds a quilt. I took some of the remaining fabric from the wedding quilt and put it in a Mondo bag for each mother. Then I made another one for a special family friend (and she asked me to make her a bag a couple years ago). I deviated from the pattern and sewed 2 1/2" strips together and did not use the fusible strip method.

Beautiful bag. He way it was hanging it looked like a bustier. So much for my eye sight

That is really a cool bag. I've never seen or heard of mondo bag before this. Getting pattern.
Toverly ....what a great idea about a quilt and a bag gift. Awesome idea... |
See quiltnotes.com for help and instructions. It seems you can make the bag without the pattern.
|
Awesome bag. Love the colors.

|
There is also a pattern like it but smaller called Midi and another called Bitty. Fun to make.
|
It's great! I especially like how you used the interesting print in the handle.
|
Great job. I have the pattern too but can't decide on fabric (scrappy or planned).
|
Love it! Enjoy it and I bet you will find a purpose for it.
