This is outstanding. How thoughtful of you. I have made memory pillows from men's ties but not yet for a woman. You made a quilt with love for a friend and this quilt shows it.

How did you join the blocks? I want to do QAYG but am a bit confused as to the process of joining the block. Thanks anyone who could help me.

Connie there are a couple of tutorials on this board for QAYG. Go to the Home page and you will find tutorials there. Its very easy. Basically you leave a border of batting around your block. The backing fabric should be larger that the batting, Quilt it and then attach your sashing between the first block and then the second block on the front. Turn it over, butt your batting together and sew it and then hand sew your two pieces of backing together, and so on. Make sense, or clear as mud??
