So even though I have not been on a lot - I have been busy. Here are two more projects. The first is another Wool Applique - I loved the first one and it was so easy I did another for a gift.

The other is a "Tea Ensemble" . I did a table runner, a tea pot cozy and four napkins.

What beautiful work you do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you hand applique your first project? I love all of your pieces! You have really been busy.

How lovely! I really love wool applique. And the tea set is so cute! Make more!

ranger 11-06-2009 11:30 AM

I like both of them. Is wool applique easier than doing it with cotton?

I love the blues in the tea ensemble. What is included in it...is it a runner, 4 napkins and tea cozy? Never mind....just reread your post and found the answer. Duh!

Thanks alaskasunshine Yes they are hand appliqued but I used fray check on the edges and also used Steam a Seam 2 to hold them in place while stitching. One thing I did do thanks to mamaw suggestion, I used Valdani pearl cotton size 12 instead of Embroidery floss. What a dream to use and did not knot as the floss does.

Love both, but especially the tree skirt. Is the felted wool easy to work with? And where sis you get the pattern?

Marcia 11-07-2009 06:58 AM

I just love your wool applique!! The Santas and trees are too cute. I can just picture it sitting on a coffee table with a great big candle in the center. I think this is going to have to go on my to-do list. Thanks ever so much for sharing.

Marcia - I was surprised it was so easy. The kit (which was another project) was obviously easier as I did not have to choose fabrics and the thread recommendations came in the package. This other one was not bad either!
