More Gray Hairs!

I just finished this crossbody bag to carry my cell phone and I-pod with me while walking the dog. Most of it was done in a fairly large embroidery hoop but I found the pattern very frustrating. However, it will be a very handy bag to use (Embroidery Garden). The bag is stippled but the stippling doesn't show with my fabric choice. It was fun to try something different - I can see I'm pretty rusty in the area of sewing now. The front has two pockets and the back has a full length pocket which is kept closed with a tab with snaps.

your bag came out very nicely. saw it there lst week and wondered if it was easy or not.

Oh that is so pretty. I love the style, and the colors. Great job!:)
|
Oooh, I like it...a lot! Very nice

What a useful bag....great for walking. Love your fabric choice (ideal for a quilter those little threads we 'gather' won't show). Terrific.

Pretty and practical. An all round winner.

Great bag.........
|
Cute bag and fabric!

Love the zippers in front and snaps on the back, but imagine it was no picnic to put together. You did a beautiful work on this. Enjoy using it.

I have that fabric, love cross body bags - may have found my next project. Good job!

I am glad to hear other people have trouble with her designs. I also tried to do one of her bags in the hoop and found the directions not very clear. Finally threw it away. Love your bag though.

I have made two. The second was easier, because I learned from the first. I very good pattern.
|
What a great idea when you need to be hands free. Nice job on the bag. I love the fabric.
|
Great looking bag and so useful also. Having all those pockets would be great. I could use one of them for walking my dog. Love the fabric also! At first glance it looks like you free motion quilted it with multi-colored thread.

Cute bag and what a great idea for when walking the dog to have your cell phone handy.

Very pretty. Looks as though you're getting ready to make some of those bracelets with different colored rubber bands.

Gotta make one of those!

I'm not the original poster, but you can find the pattern here: http://www.embroiderygarden.com/shop...body-bags.html I have the pattern, but I haven't made it yet. Tebill you have inspired me to get going on it. Thanks!

Nicely done

Great bag! Love your fabric choice. Kudos!
|
Very cute bag....

I bought some of the designer's patterns years ago. The finished result was very nice, but so many steps! I know the OP said the bag frustrated her, and I am curious for more details. That is a lovely result, but I already have a reasonable amount of gray hair mysel! :-)
