So far I have a full box of plain fabric, various colors. Also found more pieced blocks and and cross stitched blocks done on gingham. This is a great treasure hunt.

You must be having so much fun. I know I would be.

I look at all of these and wonder about the quilter, where these orpaned or were they test blocks? I wonder what the finished quilt looked like? I would be tempted to take the blocks and make her family a quilt with them.

I have some unfinished quilt blocks that an aunt made years ago. Still not sure what to do with them. Ideas? I've thought of table runners or table tops, but would be open to other suggestions. Not enough for a full size quilt.

I like the one in the upper left corner. never seen that one before.

The cross stitch on gingham is called "chicken scratch". http://www.wvu.edu/~exten/infores/pubs/fypubs/WLG_31%20Chicken%20Scratch%20Embroidery%20Leader.p df

I love the blocks and what a lovely quilt they will make! What fun seeing what you have.
|
It will be amazing to see what you do with those. Will you put them all in one quilt like a sampler or slip them into other quilts? I like all of them.
|
You really got a bargain!

I can see you are going to have fun, fun, fun.
