I finished a couple more Jo Morton quilts....The first one is called "Meg's Baskets".
And the second one is called "Sisters". Those squares are each 1".

Oh these are so pretty! I'm just finishing a Carol Hopkins design, Sweet William. It was MUCH more complicated than I thought so it is taking me longer than I expected. You did a beautiful job. Congratulations.
Wendy

Chrys, I love your Jo Morton quilt. I belong to a Jo Morton quilt group at our LQS but have not made that one yet. Yours is lovely. Love the fabric in "Sisters:
Keep up the fantastic work. Ruth

They are so pretty. How on earth do you work with such tiny pieces. I'm a big klutz so I probably wouldn't go well with those.

WOWZERS!! That is one tiny little project! You must sew really straight lines!

Lneal 01-19-2010 12:26 PM

I really like the Jo Morton quilts! And her fabric is my top choice!!

I am always amazed by these small quilts. Such exacting miniatures. Beautiful.

They are both wonderful! Great job. My favorite is megs basket. It makes me think of fall apple picking for some reason! :)

nice work...I like your use of the stripe. It keeps the eyes moving over the quilt. Good job!

Both quilts are great. Don't know if I could work with just 1". Great work!

jljack 01-19-2010 04:14 PM

Very cute quilts!! I am impressed with the nice crisp corners, especially since the pieces are so small!!

Double WOW! To think "sisters" is no bigger than a ruler is long! OMG

sylvia77 01-21-2010 11:31 AM

I just made two doll quilts and I paperpieced mine. Ohio stars that finished 2 inches. It was alot of fun.

Wings 01-21-2010 12:15 PM

I love the "Sisters" one though both are wonderful - very clever, and what patience you must have!!

marla 01-21-2010 02:19 PM

Love them! Did you hand piece or do it by machine?

Mamaskeeto 01-21-2010 02:46 PM

Wonderful job on both. You did an excellent job. Thanks for sharing.

Blue Bell 01-21-2010 02:49 PM

By machine. :) Though the "sisters" in the middle I embroidered by hand.

marla 01-22-2010 02:54 PM

You are corageous and talented to do this by machine with all the small pieces. I will get the courage to try it sometime.

oksewglad 01-23-2010 04:57 PM

Oh those are just great! I, too, love doing mini's. At LQS last week they had some of Lori Smith's patterns done up in 30 repro fabrics and they too were just lovely.

amma 01-28-2010 10:17 AM

WOW!!! These are awesome :D:D:D

sylvia77 01-28-2010 05:44 PM

I think I will try to make some of these, they are just beautiful.
