thanx! I keep seeing everyones pictures and I think I may have to make some! I like that they are a bit bigger than a coaster.

maryel 11-19-2010 03:50 PM

You have some beautiful color combinations going. These are really pretty.

craftybear 11-19-2010 04:21 PM

very pretty

KathyAire 11-19-2010 04:36 PM

I love your color combinations.
I have to ask -- what is the difference between a mug rug and a coaster? I know the obvious would be size. What am I missing?
Thanks.

I finally finished the quilt top I was working on so now I have scraps and something to use them for, I too just think these are so cute.

Mariposa 11-19-2010 05:00 PM

Very cute! You do nice work!

sunflower126 11-19-2010 07:13 PM

How are you finishing yours? I have been binding mine like I would a quilt. Your way looks easier. I make mine 7 x 10. They are so much fun to make.

I have been putting right sides together and leaving an area open to flip them.I just started a few more that will have binding to change it up a bit

ROTFLOL,that is a good question.I gave a bunch away to family and now I am putting some on Etsy.I have stacks of them and I can't stop

piepatch 11-20-2010 05:57 AM

Ok, that does it! I am going to have to make some of these. I have looked at every one that has been posted here and tried to resist, because I have too much on my plate to take on anything else, but I have to do this now. I love yours and love the batiks. I have not made anything with batiks yet, but I will have batiks in my stash by sundown! I also have enough left over fabric on hand to make mug rugs for the entire county, so I am off to a good start. By the way, you did a nice job on these. Thanks for sharing.

hperttula123 11-20-2010 05:59 AM

bourvel 11-20-2010 01:37 PM

these are great, I've giving a try in making them but I was not successful with putting the binding, so as I see you made some really nice onces and they look good without the binding, I guess I'll have to stick to this choice as I'm very poor with binding sewing.....

MawMaw B 11-20-2010 01:59 PM

Really nice combination of colors. I will have to make some of these up for Christmas. Just need to dig through some fabric for matching pieces.

JJean 11-20-2010 02:43 PM

Very nice!!!

a walking foot really helps with binding

Annz 11-21-2010 08:33 AM

Those are too cute.

crafterbarbara 11-21-2010 08:58 AM

Do you put batting inside? What are the sizes? They sure are cute.
