How large do you make your prayer quilts? Are they lap size? Thanks.

I make prayer quilts for our local church. Their approx. size is 40" wide x 60" long. I machine quilt all of my quilts but the prayer ties still have to go into them. A prayer quilt is for someone in need of comfort either from illness or death or whatever the concern. The people from the church say a prayer for the person receiving the quilt and tie the prayer tie, thus keeping the prayers in the quilt.

The first quilt is called Rain Days. I quilted the sashing using the pebble stitching. The second picture is the back of the quilt. The next is called Trip Around the World and the last two are called Plaid on Plaid, one with blue centers in the blocks and the other with red centers. Thank you for viewing.

They are all beautiful. I especially like the second one.

You have a beautiful heart to make these for those needing prayers. They are so lovely. I think my favorites are the two plaid ones.
