More Quilt of Valors
2 Attachment(s)
Some of you may remember that I posted a Quilt of Valor for a man I had met at my local Lowes store. He belongs to The Patriot Guard Riders and had asked if I'd make another one for them to raffle off as a fundraiser. The quilt with the eagle is for them. The log cabin Quilt of Valor is for my sons Sgt. in the air force. My son had gone through a really tough time and both his Sgt. and the Sgt's wife stepped up in a big way and helped him through it!! It's so hard as parent to be so far away when your child is in turmoil!! My husband and I appreciated their kindness towards him so much that I made them this quilt and also 2 pillowcases for their children and mailed them out to them. They received them this past week and called me yesterday to thank me and let me know how much they loved them!!

Great job and that is such a nice touch to thank someone for their kindness.
Beautiful quilts! Our veterans have gone through so much and it feels good to give them a reminder of how much they mean to us
Very nice. Hope it brings lots of $s.
nicely done
I like both quilts.
Both are beautiful labors of love. Please thank your son for his service for me. What a good guy you've raised.
Both quilts you did an excellent job with choosing the fabrics.
very nice job!!!
They're beautiful! Where did you find the eagle panel? I'd love to do a quilt with that panel.
Wonderful work! How kind you are!
I love these quilts. I especially love the log cabin, very pretty.
Very pretty QOV. I just love them.
The first quilt you made as a fund raiser is majestic. I can see them being able to raise quite a lot of money with this because its everything a quilt of valor should be. Its just perfect. The other quilt is very nice. What a thoughtful gift to thank them for their kindness. Excellent work!
Both are very nice! Love how you did the Eagle one especially and Thank You for making/donating this one for an worthy cause.
Great quilts.Thank you for making these quilts.
Both are very nice quilts. It is so kind of you to recognized the work of the AF Sgt. and his wife. I was a military wife, and when you are stationed hundreds or thousands of miles from your real family, other military people/families become your adopted family/support system. It has been 25 years since my husband retired, but I still miss the military life.
One of the nicest designs I've seen.
Very nice!

Here is my latest Wounded Warrior quilt. Its a 3D bowtie, for a soldier at Fort Hood Army base in Killeen,TX.
It won an Honorable Mention award in my guild's show this weekend. Chisholm Trail Quilt Guild, Georgetown,Texas. https://www.flickr.com/photos/391684...posted-public/ |
