Here are two more lap quilts I made for H.O.P.E. The pink ribbon fabric was donated by a fellow "Quilting Boarder"! Thank you, thank you!

I just got a new Brother LB6770 so I've started embroidering my labels. So much fun!!

I have made several quilts with the purpose of donating them. The only possible recipients I've located are for very ill children in a hospital, but all donated quilts given to them must have been made in a smoke-free environment and cannot have been washed with any kind of soap or detergent. Because I smoked until a year ago (YEA! Finally quit!!)all my finished quilts have been washed. What is H.O.P.E.? Are there any other recipients who would accept my quilts?

grammynan 06-18-2010 07:24 AM

H.O.P.E. (Help for Oncology Problems and Emotional Support) is a non-profit, all volunteer organization that provides a wealth of free services to cancer patients and their families in York County PA and North Central MD.

I've been making lap quilts for about 6 months and donating them for the patients. They are greatly appreciated by the patients and it is one way to give them a little bit of comfort.

If you would like to donate your quilts or donate fabric you can send them to me or you can send them directly to H.O.P.E. PM me and I will give you the information.

Thank you so much.
