The first was made for nephew, brother's son, but as we finishing it, his wife sent a different pattern for us to do...so we did nothing and put this one away because daughter says, I want that as my wedding quilt. So we did and it was hers when she married.
Friend who hand quilts added the yellow rose of Texas & quilted it. Daughter said repeatedly she wanted a tree farm in Missouri, so I made her a four-season tree farm quilt, with the top a picture of a farm. Farm was forgotten about; instead she has a husband and a son. A better choice by far. Tree farm was quick and easy to make with special triangle rulers. Book is called 3+5 1/2=Quilts published by Four Corners Design of Plano, Tx. www.FourCornersDesigns.com Additional ruler is from back in 2005. daughter's wedding quilt closer look at 4 seasons on tree farm Top border |
