Good idea. I hadn't thought of that. I'm not sure I've ever been aware of an appraiser at any of the quilt shows I've attended as I've never gone to a large show such as Houston or Paducah. I have been to the wonderful outdoor show at Sister's in Oregon and I'm sure they would have an appraiser there. Terrific idea. Thank you everyone for your input. I knew the pattern was popular in the 30's but can't tell if that's actually when it was made. Also I had no idea about the Mountain Mist batting wrappers.

beautiful quilts! sometimes experts can date quilts from the fabric used...i am just not sure how u would go about finding that person :(
