There is a pattern,i happen to go to www.hhqsewingcenter.com and in the sewing class there are a few pictures and some of the Snap Bags.Looks like you have to call them for the pattern.

I found this, might be better,[email protected] go to catalog

Here are a couple of tutorials I found. They are not mine and I am not associated with the people who posted them. Thought others might find them interesting.

I love that second one too. but they are all very pretty
|
I looked, but i don't like either one.It might be the same ,BUT their still different.Why,#1 metal tape wasn't rounded at the corners.#2 outer fabric is fine but i have a inside fabric a linning i guess.that's longer and folds over from inside out.You have a 1/4 inch you fold under and sew down. That's where you put the metal tape.I still like the pattern better.I like my Snap Bags neat, those were not.Sorry if i like something i stick with it.You could put in a zipper not the metal tape.

But you also get better with every new one you make and get new ideas.
|
nice.
|
Oh I think yours was by far the nicest I've seen but sometimes people can see something like that and turn a sows ear into a silk purse per say.
|
Thank you.I've been thinking about different things i can do with that pattern.
|
Love the matching pair!
|
I make these little bags all the time...They are made by Stitchin' Sisters and the pattern is called Snap Happy..I just love'em...and you will too...Quick, easy, using a carpenter's ruler..Also, if you're new at free motion, these little bags are perfect to practice you're FM technique....:)

Hi Quilters,
I'm having a problem with the Snap Happy II pattern. There seems to be an instruction missing! The very first instruction is: "Fuse interfacing to the wrong side of the lining with 1/4" seam allowance at the 11" ends." then here's where I'm stuck: "press the seam allowance towards the interfacing on each end. " SO, you're not sewing any part yet? Just pushing the raw edges toward the interfacing? Help? Tina |
Love the snap bags. I had everything on hand to make them for Christmas gifts, but didn't get around to it......maybe next year!
|
These are cute bags, I have seen a pattern for sale But like lots of us I am sticking to a strict buget so the ideas on here are great! Thanks for the links!
|
Very cute. Love the fabrics you chose.

Love them, I hope to make one someday.
Hopefully it will be as beautiful as yours. Great job! |
Never mind. I figured it out. Yours are beautiful. Happy new year!
