I know I should be ashamed. But, I am thinking other people have lots of these in thier closets and drawers too. LoL! The first set was old projects, does that count?

Very very nice! Hope they "talk" to you soon so you know how to "f----h" them. :D :D

sewjoyce 03-12-2009 12:20 PM

How pretty! I especially love the reindeer hanging!!

Bevanger 03-12-2009 12:25 PM

they are all great..... :D

Marcia 03-12-2009 12:25 PM

Great projects! It does not matter how old they are, when you finish them, it counts!!!!

I too love your reindeer wallhanging.

RedGarnet222 03-12-2009 05:38 PM

:D Hi Everyone!

Thanks for the sweet comments on my work. crh, sewjoyce, Bev and marcia..... I try.

These are all in different stages. I get to a point and then something happens that it doesn't get finished the rest of the way. Or I don't like it and put it away for a while to think about it. Then I start something else.

It is a shame to have so much in the wings. There is more hanging around than that! I will try and finish most of them this year or get rid of them. I am trying to be good now.

Please realize I do make many of my niece's clothing each season and most of my birthday/christmas gifts, and there have been many many finished wallhangings and quilts. These just give me fits or something ... I just don't know. But, I will this year, or bust! LOL!

Shemjo 03-12-2009 05:58 PM

One day you will look at one of these and think, Oh, I know what I want for that, and away you will go..... At least that is what I hope will happen for me, so I am transferring that wish to you also!
They are nice and I really like the reindeer one also!

sewnsewer2 03-12-2009 05:59 PM

Very pretty!

littlehud 03-12-2009 06:02 PM

Beautiful quilts. Love them all, but am really drawn to the reindeer wall hanging. It's great.

MollieSue 03-12-2009 06:07 PM

All of them are great!!! It's funny, but I don't feel so bad about all my ufo's anymore. I started thinking that you're kind of suppose to have them! They go with the territory! lol!!! At least yours all look like they're close to being done! :D

RedGarnet222 03-12-2009 06:24 PM

I am hoping you are right, Shemjo. Seems like too many loose ends sitting around to me. LoL!

Thanks sewnsewer!

The reindeer is by mount raineer, littlehud. They have a couple more I would like to try. But, not for a while. Gotta stick to my guns for a while.

Thanks very much Diana Rainer! It makes me feel a little better that some people are in the same boat as me!

Sharon M 03-12-2009 07:32 PM

they are all wonderful but I have to fess up
the reindeer one is just beautiful. Finish by this Christmas and it will make a wonderful wall hanging or tablerunner for you or as a gift.....me me me :?:

RedGarnet222 03-13-2009 08:10 AM

LoL Sharon ... sorry ...It is a gift already for my son and his wife. This one is going to be an easy finish. It is next to quilt after the quail placemats I am working on now.

I have thier quilt in progress too. It is a BOTM baskets done in teal and fushia. Set on point. Just four more long seams and then it will be finished as a top. Those bias edges are not easy to work with afer it has been put away 3 months. :( But, I will show and tell when I get it to that point.

tlrnhi 03-13-2009 08:16 AM

Somehow I missed this thread. Glad I checked it out! Love it!
My fav is the first bear and the reindeer!!

RedGarnet222 03-13-2009 09:04 AM

Thanks so much tlrnhi! It probably was because to the title being so close the the other wip thread I had going that you missed it. LOL Besides, there are some gorgeous show and tells going on today, aren't there?

kd124 03-15-2009 03:55 PM

They are all very pretty.

fktsewing 03-15-2009 07:52 PM

The reindeer wallhanging is positively gorgeous. Great Job.

Janstar 03-15-2009 09:36 PM

I love the poinsettas and the reindeer the best. Love the beigey backgrounds! We all have so many projects to finish. My DH ask me about some of mine and I tried to explain that some were BOMs and mystery quilts and you only work on them once a month--------- Makes sense to me!!!!!!

jacquemoe 03-15-2009 09:42 PM

Those all look wonderful. I like the animal quilt and the reindeer quilt. And, why is it you haven't finished these? I want a really good excuse. We ALL have too many excuses and I'm just as bad as anyone else. I think I have 3 UFOs that may never get finished. At least you're looking at them and thinking about it.................that's a great start.

gcathie 03-15-2009 10:02 PM

Wow one day your gonna let us see ufo's all done!.....they are really nice and so close to being finished......it sure feels great to have them ufo's done and out of the way.....Xmas presents for sure.....:-)

DJ 03-16-2009 05:50 AM

You've got some wonderful projects there! Hope you can get them finished up. The first step is the hardest!

On another forum I participate in, we have a UFO challenge (not just quilts, but all crafts). We are on the honor system to keep track of the hours we spend on UFO projects. The winner at the end of the year gets to name a charity, and the others make a contribution to that charity. Honor system again.

RedGarnet222 03-16-2009 08:04 AM

Hi everyone! Thanks so ver much for stopping in to see my wip and ufo's.
I started a quilt for each of my sons. That is why some of these got put on hold. LoL! I am very cloe to finishing the tops. The one just needs the borders and the other assembing the top. All the blocks are finished.
I have to work on them today. So I am hoping to post a picture this evening maybe.

The quilting table is new to me and I want to play with a couple of the not as important ones first, you understand. I've got to get the quilting motion/process down before I start on the good ones.
Well I could use every excuse I could think of, but that won't get them done! Ha ha ha...

Take care my friends. Thanks again for saying such nice things to me today. Everyone can use a little pat on the back once in a while.

DA Mayer 03-16-2009 09:00 AM

The only time I finished all my projects, quilts and crafts was when I was pregnant with my 3rd and last child. I finished a quilt (sunbonnet sue) that had taken me 7 years, made a baby quilt, cross stitched Easter eggs, and finished whatever else. We weren't sure of due date and 23 years ago they weren't as accurate pinpointing dates even with ultasounds. I stopped working 2/14 and he wasn't born until 3/22. I put the eggs together when I had false labor during the night. Good memories.
My daughter wonders how I can start a new project when the others aren't finished. Always something new comes up that I want to do.

theoldgraymare 03-11-2012 01:13 PM

The reindeer is just ADORABLE!

burchquilts 03-14-2012 06:37 PM

They're all great but I especially like (OK, LOVE!!!) the 9-Patch. Congrats on making a dent in your pile. I have one here, too... wanna try your hand at it? LOL!
