Two stunning quilts, wonderful.

All of you have been so amazingly complimentary. Daughter and I had some starts and stops with color choices and I wound up making 480 nine patches. Generally I make 20 to 30 comfort quilts a year (flip n sew/QAYG so I have a lot of comfort quilts to make with the leftovers. For those that have never made a Bloomin Nine Patch, it is a very fun quilt to make.

Really beautiful!

Does anyone else see the "X" that appears to go thru the middle of this first quilt? It makes the quilt seem to glow, as if a light source is hitting the middle. (Less noticeable in the second one but still there faintly.)

As far as I can tell, this only happens when the quilt or blocks are done in a graded color study. It's a trick I used for years in teaching a log cabin and color class.
