I am new to quilting and this quilt top is my first 'large' size piece. I have only finished piecing the top.

This is for my mother-in-law.

I have been sewing for years, just not quilting.

My high school home economy teacher would be so surprised at my efforts - she told me I should give up sewing and do something I COULD do well!

Well you certainly are well at quilting. Do you have your next project in mind yet? ;)

Yellow Bird 04-22-2010 07:56 AM

I'm finishing up a couple of table runners...trying to get my mitered corners right. After that I'm going to make some Father's Day lap robes for charity.

Bailey's mom 04-22-2010 09:33 AM

What a great idea - I always forget peoples birthdays - maybe I will make one for myself! I have 7 siblings, MOTH has 4, and 42 nieces and nephews and their offspring! It would cover our whole lounge room wall

SuziC 04-25-2010 04:54 AM

She will love that! What a gift the will be!!!!

Yellow Bird 05-10-2010 06:14 PM

My MIL said, on receiving the quilt, "Thank you and it looks nice."

Obviously a hard sell even after 40 years!
