Mr. October 2013
 

Here is a wall hanging I made last week as a "happy" for my friend having a Halloween Party. The party is tonight actually!! I got the pattern (free) at funthreads.blogspot.com. The designer, Carol Steely. I added the "Mr. October 2013" with my Janome MC9700. This is my first finished project using machine quilting. I wasn't sure what I was going to do when I started and was really apprehensive about finishing it! The backing is the same as the outer border (the pumpkin field). I hope she likes it!! We are going to the party as skeletons and my DH is going to pin a "Mr. October 2013" label on him!! In his mind he was the model for this---LOL!! Now I hope this posts properly along with the photo!!

Really cute and well done. I also appreciate that you identified where you found the pattern - always nice when a poster does this. In the spirit of the season, perhaps DH should pose in the same position and let the QB decide if he was the inspiration or not!
