This is an end of the year gift for my daughter's GS Brownie leader. They are bridging over to Jr.'s next week. This is a DP9.

Wow that is nice I love the colors. The GS leader will be so blessed. Nice Job.

I made it from a FQ pack of 4 I got on sale at Joann's for $3.50. I couldn't pass it up. I'm really drawn to FQ's all of a sudden. I guess it satisfies my fabric buying fix without being a major purchase.

tslowery 05-05-2009 07:39 PM

What is the pattern called? It looks like something my daughter would like. Is DP9 the name of the pattern are is that something else?

collettakay 05-05-2009 07:44 PM

Its a disappearing nine patch. I think there's a tutorial in the tutorial section.

Nice looking quilt. She'll love it.

Nice job  she will love it! I agree the fat quarters are kind of a fabric fix without making a major dent in the pocketbook :D

Pretty quilt! Isn't it amazing what patterns turn out with the d9p? Each one is different. I love the bright colors you used.

I just love ft quarters.....i have picked up som black, white and red for a project. And of course I love the 1930's reproduction....have a ton of them.....did you ever decide on a book you liked for fq's?

collettakay 05-11-2009 08:53 AM

I bid on a lot of 13 quilting books/patterns on ebay. One is a FQ book and there are also 2 double wedding ring books that I want as I have a cousin getting married next summer and really want to try to make them a Double Wedding Ring Quilt. I'm very anxious to see if I win. I think it has 10 more hours left on the auction.

Wonderful quilt, Collettakay. I like the d9p pattern--so many different layouts.

I have a d9p top to quilt. How did you quilt yours? TIA.

Great job.

collettakay 05-11-2009 09:20 AM

I usually just do an outline quilting by hand.

sewsewquilter 05-11-2009 09:54 AM

Very nice. I like how you layed it out. D9P are so fun.
