MSQ Dissappearing Hourglass Quilt
1 Attachment(s)
I finished this quilt and really enjoyed this process. I cut the squares from my stash and changed it to 9 1/2. This allowed me to subcut at exactly 4 inches instead of some difficult number for me to see on the ruler. The block finished at 10 1/4 but was a little wonky so I squared them up to 10 inches.
I have no trouble working with bias and I did use starch to help with that. I am currently working on another using up flowers blocks from my charity group stash. This will go to the Veterans Hospital here in Phoenix. I have a friend that hand delivers them to deserving Vets. If you look close you will see I turned one of the blocks wrong. No way am I ripping that out as a non quilter would never notice or care. |
Beautiful!!!!

Looks great! I really had to search for that one block. I like the effect of it anyway! Great job!

Love it! I had no trouble working with the bias on my blocks either and the bias really helped me match up the corner triangles. Fun, fun blocks!

LOVE the block turned wrong! It adds so much to the personality of the quilt

I watched the tutorial on this from MSQC and loved it! Definitely on my TO DO list! Nice quilt you did!

Lovely quilt; on my 'to do' list! I heard about this pattern recently and want to make a block before long. My friend said it isn't that difficult.
Would you tell us where you got the pattern? Mariah |
Beautiful quilt. A deserving veteran will really treasure this quilt.

you did a great job! took me a while to spot the boo boo.

Oh My goodness - I love it! You are going to make a vet very happy. I like that one block turned that way - it's walking to the beat of a different drummer.
