mug rugs for a swap
2 Attachment(s)
I started out to make one mug rug, got discouraged with that one because I messed up my cutting and needed to either start over or substitute a different light green. Now I have made 4. They are somewhat addictive. They all have the same spidery backing, left over from a guild challenge. They are all batted with my old kitchen towels. I was more than ready for bright new ones.

PS. If I had not gotten discouraged with it, the oval one would have been a turtle, with brown head, feet and tail sticking out. That one is my own design. The labels read: have a cuppa on me-QM.

Thank you. One will go to the originally planned swapper, one to a friend who is having a really hard time with her health. The other 2 will go to local friends.

Super mug rugs.

Very nice, I love the baby block mug rug, cute idea. I've been making mug rugs for a craft fair the end of June. I reduced a strawberry applique from a block to an 8 inch block, as it's a strawberry festival. They came out really cute, so I hope they sell.

How fun! I love small projects. They are so quick and easy. I could see these all appliqued onto a bed sized backing to make a fabulous floral quilt.
