I love it! I made a music quilt several years ago for my DD. Not as nice as yours, but she still loves it... or so she says. :)

Lovely quilt. I have some of those fabrics as my GD has asked me to make a music themed quilt for her. You have inspired me to make a start on it.:thumbup:

Love your quilt....I too have a music quilt in my near future...great grandson is a violin player and wants a violin in the middle of the quilt...and that will be the stopper...I haven't found a large violin panel and really don't want to draw/applique one...might have to though.....or change the design.....

Great design - the yellow/gold and black fabric added just enough color to make that quilt super-interesting.

Maybe you could go to a music store and trace the outline of a real violin and go from there. Be sure to post your results.

its one of Missouri star quilt co tutorials. I have no pattern. I think it was called 'sashed half hexie' quilt I think its on youtube also
