Hi all.
I'm new to the board so here is my first post. This is foundation paper pieced.

Fancy Foot: Wow - that's beautiful. Did you create the pattern, or buy it? We love pictures. And, is that a self portrait in your avitar? hee hee (I love troll dolls)

I got the pattern from:

Thanks saravincent.
I also made this wallhanging from scraps. It's my first fusible applique & first attempt at free arm quilting after hours of practice. I haven't put the guitar strings on yet because I'm not quite sure which marking pencil I should use. Do you have any recommendations?

My eldest son is obsessed with acoustic guitar and now wants to be a professional musician! How fitting to see you wonderful quilt!
Love it..

Your wall hanging is absolutely marvelous! I am a music fanatic and am going to have to make me one of those! I just wish I had that wonderful fabric you used! I think I need to make a guitar hanging also. What an inspiration your projects have been.
Thank you so much for sharing!

How about a 3D effect, using silver cording? Almost like you can actually strumm it.

Those are wonderful!! I love the fabrics. I'm so glad you shared with us. I want to see more. :)

zyxquilts 05-04-2008 07:29 PM

Those are fabulous Fancy Foot! I like saravincent's idea of using the silver cording for the guitar strings - you could couch them down in a couple places if you needed to.
Keep sharing your pics - we love to ooooohhhh & aaaahhhh!!!! :D
