The top is completed, and currently I am doing the quilting on it. It's a "recliner sized" quilt for my fiance'. I hope to complete the quilting tonight and do the binding this upcoming week.
Modified to add, I need to find a better place to display my creations... Recliner quilt for M. Top completed. One of the better sewn areas. |

Thank you ALL for the compliments! They are most appreciated.
I had wanted to finish over the weekend, but we dried out here in AR enough to whip the yard into shape. Back to rain, so it's back to sewing! |

It's DONE!!! It's DONE!!! It's DONE!!!
I'm quite pleased with the end result. I ended up backing the quilt with a cotton sheet. Someone suggested snuggly flannel, but between living in Arkansas and moving to Florida, he wanted a something more lightweight. There are a few "lessons" that I have learned from this project. The first and most important is to measure 8,000 times, cut one time. That I think was my biggest problem with this quilt. I also have to learn to slow down a little bit, because rushing causes mistakes. There's a doozie with the binding, but it adds charachter... ! And finally, and most important, is to keep working and keep quilting. I'm pretty much self-taught and this is only my second blanket. I can only improve!!! I can't wait to start my next project. Thank you all again for the encouragement and compliments.
