For those not familiar with the term, upcycling is taking something already made and turning it into something else. In this case I have taken thrift store clothing and curtains, and turned them into aprons. Also cargo pants turned into a book bag. See what you think!

Solid olive added for bib, strap, ties and pocket

Apron made from a woman's jumper. Original embroidery and buttons remain.

Repurposed a macrame belt for these.

Man's shirt front, placket stitched closed. Small chest pocket removed

Heavy red man's shirt, back and part of sleeves used for skirt. Bias cut binding used.

Nice ideas. I love to shop at thrift stores for things. I even buy older aprons and UPscale the. Thanks fro sharing your ideas.

I would LOVE to have the jumper apron. I need LOTS of coverage!

The other aprons look like what my Grandma B used to make - and I'm still using them now.

Since my dad always joked about my cake baking I think an apron from one of his shirts would be a perfect memento. Thanks for the idea.
