What a wonderful quilt!!! I love old quilts and have found a few inexpensive ones in "antique" malls, flea markets, etc. But, I have never gotten one for only $10!! I am so glad it came clean for you and you can now cuddle under it. You have made that quilt so happy. :D

PS--What play did it star in???

The local HS did "You Can't Take It With You" this year set in 1936. I am the costumer and we needed a quilt on the couch on the set. The director talked her husband into letting her use his grandmothers quilt. Well if you know teenagers at all you know it was in peril there. So I made her take the heirloom home and I brought in this guy. I figured if the kids ruin it I wasn't out a whole lot, but I would have died if she had to tell her husband that gram's quilt was ruined.

Did you have to soak it because it was soiled, or smelly? Anyway, it was worth it for just 10 bucks.

Boston it looked like it had been under a barn for several years. It was an absolute mess.
