As I was cleaning out my sewing room today, I found the first quilt I made. It was made using a pattern called Easy Breezy and Moda's Christmas Toile in blue. As you can see, it's not bound so back into the UFO drawer it goes!

Very nice!

That's very nice for a first quilt. Why not just go ahead and bind it while you have it out? You could have it completed in a day.

JenniePenny 07-26-2010 12:53 PM

Don't put it away - it's too pretty and so close to being done.

We are thinking alike!! I would love to see it finished!!

I can't bind right away because I can't find the fabric I planned to bind it with! It's in the sewing room somewhere! See my post under "Just Keepin it real"....
I hope to find it soon though. I forgot how much I really like it!

Please don't put that quilt away. It is just too beautiful to not be finished. Please post a pic when you get it done.

GrammaNan 07-26-2010 07:08 PM

It's so pretty! Please don't put it back in a drawer, you should finish it now. Wouldn't it feel good to get it done?

walen 07-26-2010 07:13 PM

That"s what I say,too.

Jingle 07-27-2010 05:24 PM

Very pretty, it deserves to be finished, just find the fabric you were going to use.

cookiej36 07-28-2010 06:39 PM

I took everyone's advice and you'll be glad to know that I have decided to go ahead and bind this since it's out of the closet. Once I trimmed off the backing, I had enough for the binding. I'll post pictures as soon as it's finished. Thanks for the encouragement!

Yay!! That's great!

Yay for you on finishing your lovely quilt. What a great feeling you will have when it's done.

Good for you...can't wait to see it finished.

dkabasketlady 08-01-2010 02:54 PM

I'd be heading into the sewing room and finding the binding fabric right away and get busy on that FABULOUS quilt!!

Thanks for the encouragement and kind words!

It's a finish for July! I officially finished 3 quilts during the month of July which is somewhat of a record for me since I rarely sew in the summer months!

I made this quilt in the winter of 2002 and it's been in the closet since it came back from the quilter!

earthwalker 08-03-2010 07:25 PM

Beautiful...love the colours...looks very tranquil.

Judy in Waco 08-03-2010 07:57 PM

Good for you! It's beautiful!! :)
