My aunt has two featherweights. One for her home in Maine and one for her home in Florida.
She has other machines, but she only sews on her featherweights. She just loves them. |
Rita is a beauty!

Lucky lucky you! Looks like a great machine. My Grandma sewed on a treadle and my Mom had a Phaff. Both were work horses for the times.
|
Nice! And so is that quilt you're working on!

Thanks! Rita is the girl! I had a Burnina that I ended up hating. And that machine was so expensive and broke down all the time.
And CarolW: If I could have a home in Maine and a home in Florida, I would give up the Featherweight! |
So would I!!!
My parents and two sets of aunts and uncles are fortunate to have homes in Maine and Florida. Lucky them!! :) |
Pam, Rita is a beauty!! Looks like she is brand new. Do you know how old she is?
|
Here's some interesting information on Featherweights...even how to know their age. Go to: http://www.planetpatchwork.com/fweight.htm

Where did he find such a nice one. I am wanting one to carry back and forth the class....not sure what a good price to pay? I have been told to buy one from e-bay but not confortable with doing that...never know what you will get.
