I was even asked to make my special tater salad for it. lol So everything seemed normal, seeing the cars and etc. They did such an awesome job. Me being a newbie quilter (and loving it), everyone that I made a quilt for, brought them to the party to display and my cake (made by my daughter-in-law) was decorated as a quilt. It was such a wonderful weekend. All 3 of my sons and their families were home. I got many items for quilting, my husband bought me a wooden stand with 8 drawers in it, 2 quilt pattern books, 2 Moda Jelly Rolls (end of summer was the name), plus a gift certificate for our LQS.
We apparently share March BD's (mine was 1st part of mo). Some of my family gave me a "Honey-Do" afternoon. They brought a nice meal over & all afternoon did "chores & favors" for me. They had asked me what I wanted for my BD, but at 77 yrs old WHAT IN THE WORLD COULD I POSSIBLY NEED! Told them to just give me an I.O.U. for an hour or so help some time. So they had me make of list of things needed done around the house that were difficult for me (I live alone - so is just me) & did "Honey-Do's" all afternoon. Was a fun afternoon, even some of the little ones got involved. :D Have a blessed evening - & many more HAPPY BIRTHDAYS |
Happy Birthday
