My 9/11 quilt
1 Attachment(s)
As I said before, I have been plowing through all of my quilt photos to find ones suitable to make into jigsaw puzzles. Like many people all over the world, I was devastated by 9/11. Like many other quilters, my response was to make a quilt. Although I was a newbie at that time, I finished the top in 2 days. My DH (not shown) was in our local fire department at that time. He said to get in touch with NYFD to find where to send it, for whatever use they decided to make of it, which I did. Out fire department gave it to NYFD. I am told it now hangs in Station 1.

You honored them, and I'm so glad they honored you in return. The quilt is beautiful. I'm so glad it's appreciated!

Great quilt and better story. I am glad they have adopted your quilt. The patriotic theme was so very appropriate. Good job!!!

Nice job. Great tribute to those hardworking heros. You have caught my attention with your phrase about looking at photos of your quilts suitable to use in making jigsaw puzzles. Do give us more details on how you do that, please.

Several free jigsaw aps do that for you. Some are jigsaw sites. Windows 10 has one in Casual Games, which I am still learning to use.
